Introducing the Two Moons Development Academy

Updated: Dec 16, 2025

By Dr. LaKeisha Griffith, Founder & Lead Consultant, Two Moons Consultants

The launch of Two Moons Development Academy represents more than the release of a new training platform. For me, it marks the culmination of years of work spent navigating the space between learning, leadership, and real-world performance. Throughout my career, I have worked across education, workforce development, and organizational training environments. In each setting, I encountered the same challenge repeated in different forms: learning initiatives were often well-intentioned, but rarely designed to demonstrate measurable impact. Programs were completed, certificates were issued, and participation was tracked, yet the connection between learning and performance outcomes was often unclear.

Two Moons Development Academy was created to address that gap. This Academy is grounded in the belief that professional learning should not exist as a series of isolated events. Instead, it should function as a system. A system that begins with identifying real capability gaps, aligns instructional design to those gaps, and evaluates results using evidence-informed frameworks. That philosophy reflects not only my professional experience, but also the applied research and systems-based approach that has shaped my work over time.

The Academy’s flagship course, Building a Capability Academy, reflects this mindset. It is designed for education leaders, corporate trainers, consultants, and organizational leaders who are responsible for developing people and demonstrating impact. Rather than focusing solely on content delivery, the course guides participants through needs assessment, instructional design foundations, performance-based outcomes, and evaluation using the Kirkpatrick Model. Learners are expected to apply what they learn, build systems, and leave with practical tools they can use immediately.

This approach is deeply personal to me. Over the years, I have seen how poorly designed learning initiatives can waste time, resources, and trust. I have also seen the opposite: when learning is intentionally designed and evaluated, it becomes a lever for meaningful change. The Academy exists because I believe leaders deserve better than surface-level training. They deserve structured, credible learning experiences that respect their responsibility to deliver results.

The Development Academy also reflects a broader commitment to bridging theory and practice. The courses are informed by research, but they are not academic exercises. They are built around real challenges faced by schools, districts, organizations, and teams. Case studies, templates, dashboards, and applied scenarios are not add-ons. They are core to the learning experience.

As the Academy prepares to open enrollment, this launch represents both a professional milestone and a personal one. It is an opportunity to bring together the work I have done in consulting, instructional design, leadership development, and evaluation into a single, coherent learning environment. One that values rigor, application, and measurable outcomes.

I look forward to sharing more as the Academy continues to grow, and to working with leaders who are committed to building learning systems that truly make a difference.

Enrollment in Two Moons Development Academy will open soon. Updates will be shared as the launch approaches.

All my best,

Keisha
